Curriculum

Djanogly City Academy has developed a flexible, innovative and student focused curriculum to ensure every child can be successful.

Designed around fulfilling the individual needs of students, the curriculum we offer is inclusive yet provides the rigour and challenge necessary to provide all learners with the very best examination outcomes.

Our curriculum follows National Curriculum guidelines and aims to provide a broad, balanced learning experience for all.

At Key Stage 3 our two-year programme covers all the National Curriculum subjects. Students are taught in ability groups in the majority of subjects, ensuring that every child is taught at a level that matches their ability.

During our three year Key Stage 4 programme, all students study the English Baccalaureate core subjects of English, Mathematics, Science, a Modern Foreign Language and a Humanities subject such as Geography or History.

We expect most of our students to achieve at least eight 8 passes at grades A* - C, including English and Mathematics. Every student is actively encouraged to work towards the new English Baccalaureate standard, invaluable for university applications.

Djanogly Post-16 offers a range of pathways for students who wish to continue learning with us during Key Stage 5. A range of A-Level courses and BTEC diplomas offer students the opportunity to improve their employability or eligibility for university. We pride ourselves on promoting the highest aspirations for all our students.
