  • Year 7 Rewards Evening

    Rewards Evening

    Year 7 had their rewards evening last night with food and the film “The Secret Life of Pets” in the main hall. We had over a quarter of the year group attend the evening which is amazing and it looked as if they thoroughly enjoyed it.

    Thanks to all achievement mentors and teachers of year 7, your continued work and support has been fantastic this half term! Have a great break and please keep rewarding year 7!

  • Post 16 BTEC Students

    Post 16 Projects

    They are completing a BTEC Extended Diploma in Sport (worth 3 A levels) in conjunction with Nottingham Forest in the Community, who deliver a football programme whilst we do the education here at the Academy.

    They are involved in lots of projects at the moment that include:

    1. Primary school lunchtime Sports Leaders at Djanogly Northgate and Djanogly Sherwood primaries
    2. Y7/8/9 Djanogly City Academy Lunchtime Sports Leaders
    3. They train over at the Djanogly Leisure Centre in the Gym
    4. They train over at the Forest Sports Zone

  • Year 7 & 8 investigate human rights

    Citizenship lesson to look at UDHR

    Year 7 and 8 pupil investigate the universal declaration of human rights and why they are important for all of us.

    The lesson focused on a discussion of the rights and how they might be protected un UK law.

  • Students are invited to apply for the award winning Work Inspiration programme

    The BOOTS award winning Work Inspiration Programme will run during June and July 2017 .

    Students aged 14 – 19 are invited to apply for a chance to step inside the world of Boots UK.

    Each year they run week long programmes, packed with activities to suit each specific age.

    It’s a nurturing and exciting environment where students can gain experience that can give them a real competitive edge in the employment marketplace.

  • Apply for Work Experience at Nottingham Trent University

    Students are encouraged to apply for Work Experience placements at Nottingham Trent University

    Fantastic opportunities are offered for Djanogly students at the Nottingham Trent University for work experience placements for this academic year.

    There are several placements on offer and these can been viewed in detail on the School careers notice board.

    There is an exciting opportunity for a one week Work Experience placement as an Astronomy and Science Outreach Assistant.
