  • Claremont Primary School visited Djanogly

    Introduction to Python

Students from Claremont Primary School visited Djanogly, on 27th June, to take part in an 'Introduction to Python' session, as part of their school's 'Coding Week'.

The students were very enthusiastic and managed to produce little programs that displayed their name and facts about themselves. They were also able to work out some maths problems using Python.

Special thanks to Piotrek Janusz, Danny GoGo and Ahmed Ishtiaq for their brilliant support with the students!'

    Cricket Success

Congratulations to the year 7 cricket team if you see them around the Academy today. Yesterday we travelled to Arnold Hill Academy in a county cup fixture and came out victorious. Having been put into bat we scored 182 without losing a wicket and then managing to restrict Arnold to 107 with 5 wickets going down. To say you started with 100 runs also this was a great effort by the year 7 team!

  • Girls Cricket

    Under 13s & 15s Cricket

Yesterday we attended a tournament at Radcliffe Cricket Club. The girls conducted themselves very well, behaved impeccably and played some really good cricket. Out of the 5 games played by both teams (u13s and u15s) each team won one game each, both wins coming against Newark Academy. Other games came very close only losing by a few runs. Please congratulate the girls below on a very successful day (the weather definitely helped)

MCCF Nottingham Hub 106 (29 overs)

Nottingham High School 103 (29 overs)

A last over thriller which featured some impressive and significant performances from the trio of Djanogly boys who played.

Fardeen Ahmed bowled some very tight overs in the middle of the innings to restrict and build pressure on the opposition. He also 'banged the drum' all innings to keep his team focused and motivated in the field - What a fantastic ...
