    Year 7 Indoor Cricket

    Congratulations to the Year 7 boys who won both games of cricket at the City Schools Indoor Cricket Championships last night.

    The team beat Farnborough by 40 runs in the first game, then they beat The Trinity School by 1 run in the second game.

  • Year10 Make Clay Hats for their project based on Alice's Adventure In Wonderland

    10X & 10W Made Ceramic Hats inspired by the story of Alice in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll

    To complete their Art project this term both 10X & 10W have made ceramic Hats inspired by the Mad Hatter from the story of Alice in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll.

    Students have used slab making techniques to produce the hat, after firing students applied paint and added decoration to complete their hat to their own individual design.

    All parents & carers of year 8 students are strongly advised to attend this event. Now is a key time to meet with your child's subject teachers to discuss their current progress and to plan how best to support your child to maximise the impact of their classroom studies and homework.

    Appointments will commence at 4:15pm and conclude at 7.15pm. Year 8 students have been given appointment cards.

  • Djanogly Festival of Words and World Book Day

    Year 7s celebrate the world of words!

    To mark World Book Day, Djanogly City Academy has had an extended celebration by coinciding it with their annual school festival, Djanogly Festival of Words (DFoW). The festival focusses on students developing their ability to express themselves through spoken and written English and encourages them to engage fun activities that are outside of the normal day to day timetable. Y7s were joined by guest storyteller Sophie Snell who told them of 'The Hand of Glory' and had them singing as a year group.   • Djanogly Festival of Words and World Book Day

    Year 8s get theatrical

    On Wednesday March 1st, as part of the Djanogly Festival of Words, Year 8s had the chance to work with Nonsuch Theatre Company. Through workshops, they developed drama in response to the contents of a mystery suitcase. The suitcase was placed in the middle of the Drama Hall and its contents revealed; students responded to the contents by using them as inspiration for, or props in, their drama pieces. The best pieces were invited to perform to the year group in a showcase event at the end of the day.
