  • Spring into Science

    Year 8 Science Trip

    Over 300 Student from all over Nottingham City, enjoyed an experiment packed lecture on Sound in Science, from the Professors at the University of Nottingham. This is part of #SpringintoScience.

    Experiments included converting light into sound and music. They used ‘Aerodrums’ which is an air-drumming instrument. It runs on your computer and understands your drumming intent by watching you drum through a high speed camera and light refraction.

    The students were most impressed with the Tesla Coil which both played music and gave them a light show.

  • Primary Link 2017

    Southwark Primary School Introduction to cooking course

    Pupils from Southwark Primary School came to Djanogly City Academy on the 19th April, to start their introduction to cookery course.

    The course will last 5 weeks, where the pupils will be making a variety of savory and sweet treats as an introduction in to Food Technology at secondary school.

    The pupils made one Apple Crumble each to take home. There was even time for some of them to decorate the top of their crumbles with apple roses, which was a beautiful addition.

    The pupils thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon and are looking forward to next week.

    Product Design Year 11

    The Year 11 Product design students have done a fantastic job getting all their practical work completed on time. The quality and innovation this year has been amazing.

    Students have used a variety of materials, ranging from; Acrylic, Ply-wood, Polypropylene to Pine. They have also used different techniques and machines to create their products; Wood Lathe, Laser engraver, hand tools etc.

  • Year 7 Cricket

    Year 7 Indoor Cricket

    Congratulations to the Year 7 boys who won both games of cricket at the City Schools Indoor Cricket Championships last night.

    The team beat Farnborough by 40 runs in the first game, then they beat The Trinity School by 1 run in the second game.

  • Year10 Make Clay Hats for their project based on Alice's Adventure In Wonderland

    10X & 10W Made Ceramic Hats inspired by the story of Alice in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll

    To complete their Art project this term both 10X & 10W have made ceramic Hats inspired by the Mad Hatter from the story of Alice in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll.

    Students have used slab making techniques to produce the hat, after firing students applied paint and added decoration to complete their hat to their own individual design.

  • Year 8 Parents Evening

    Thursday 23rd March 2017

    All parents & carers of year 8 students are strongly advised to attend this event. Now is a key time to meet with your child's subject teachers to discuss their current progress and to plan how best to support your child to maximise the impact of their classroom studies and homework.

    Appointments will commence at 4:15pm and conclude at 7.15pm. Year 8 students have been given appointment cards.
