At DCA we felt it was a priority to discuss with staff how they feel about recent events regarding anti-racist protests, the murder of George Floyd and to hear their own experiences of witnessing or being on the receiving end of racism in the UK and Nottingham. This was a long overdue and very necessary conversation, which we must now ensure leads into action and education for our staff, our scholars and the wider community. We are committed to opening up dialogue around anti-racism and challenging discrimination in our society.

An important message to our staff and scholars

Dear Scholars, Families and Staff,

As I am sure many of you are aware, this week has seen protests, riots and the blackouttuesday hashtag on social media all in relation to the murder of George Floyd and as a response to many of the other injustices carried out against Black people in America, the UK, and the rest of the world.

If you are unaware or wish to find out more, there is a wealth of information on the world wide web however, here are few articles from trusted sources which shed light on the situation.
